The Stolen White Elephant

“ Hurray for the police force! Here is your elephant!” (p. 52)

This is the story of a royal white elephant. The elephant is on its way from Siam to England as a gift to the Queen. A senior official of the Thai government responsible for management asked the famous police of the New York Police to investigate and confidently inspectors dispatched dozens of detectives to various places and uncovered traces of elephants passed. However, although the violent elephant gives out many victims, it is hard to find and the amount of the prize money jumps up. After all, the elephant was found but he was dead.

This story is a little scary for me because I can not imagine that the elephant eats man.
