Scrooge was a cold, greedy, mean, and old man. When he got home, his house’s knocker changed into Marley’s face. Marley died seven years ago and the Ghost of Marley dragging a chain appeared before Scrooge. After that, Marley told Scrooge the misery after his death and three ghosts would emerge from now for Scrooge not to be like Marley.
Three ghosts which were called “Christmas Carol” appeared as Marley predicted. And they took Scrooge to his past, present, and future world. After Scrooge saw his miserable death and even his grave, he noticed his own badness and he changed into a good person.
In Japan, it is common to spend time with lovers or friends on Christmas Day. After reading this book, I found how to spend original Christmas Day.
